At Rejuvenate Orthopedic & Regenerative Medicine, we offer platelet-based and A2M (Alpha-2-Macroglobulin) therapies as another tool in our regenerative approach.
Both use concentrated components of your own blood to support your body’s natural healing response, each suited to a different purpose.
Like our other regenerative treatments, regenerative blood therapy works with your body rather than masking symptoms with medication.
PRP, PRF, and PPP are all derived from a simple blood draw, not bone marrow. Once processed, each one isolates a different part of your blood for a different therapeutic purpose:
PRP delivers a fast, concentrated release of platelets and growth factors, ideal for supporting healing in an injured joint or tendon.
PRF is processed differently, forming a supportive matrix that releases those same growth factors more gradually over time.
PPP is the plasma that remains after platelets are concentrated for PRP or PRF. While lower in platelets, it still contains beneficial proteins and growth factors, and is used to support soft tissue and skin healing.
Peripheral Nerve PRP Hydrodissection
If you’re dealing with numbness, tingling, or shooting pain from a pinched or entrapped nerve, Peripheral Nerve PRP Hydrodissection may offer relief without surgery. This ultrasound-guided treatment uses your body’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to gently release a compressed nerve from the scar tissue or fascia trapping it.
Rejuvenate will help recommend the option, or combination, best suited to your specific needs.
The entire process is completed in a single office visit:
Draw. A standard blood draw is taken, similar to routine bloodwork.
Concentration. The sample is processed using centrifugation to separate and concentrate the components needed for your treatment.
Precise Delivery. The prepared solution is applied at our treatment site
Key Benefits
Personalized treatment selection. – Not every condition responds the same way to PRP, PRF, PPP. Rejuvenate will work with you to identify the approach best supported for your specific need, rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Image-guided injections – Helping ensure accurate placement for joint and tendon treatments.
Experienced provider – Treatments are performed by David A. Harris, PA-C, who has specialized for over 20 years in regenerative orthopedic techniques.
You will meet with David Harris, PA-C for a consultation. We will review your medical history, examine the affected area, and determine whether PRP, PRF, PPP, or another treatment approach is right for you.
After a standard blood draw, most patients wait briefly while the sample is processed, then receive their treatment. Most patients tolerate the process very well with minimal discomfort.
Recovery is typically quick. Most people return to normal daily activities within a day or two. Mild soreness at the treatment site is common and usually resolves quickly. Results develop gradually as your body’s healing response takes place, with many patients noticing improvement over several weeks.
Results develop gradually as the regenerative process takes place. Many patients notice improvement over several weeks to months.
A2M works differently than our other blood-derived therapies. Rather than delivering growth factors to stimulate healing, A2M is a naturally occurring plasma protein that helps block the enzymes responsible for breaking down cartilage in osteoarthritis, protecting existing joint tissue rather than only stimulating repair.
A2M is concentrated from the plasma remaining after PRP is processed from your blood draw, then injected directly into the affected joint. Because it works through a different mechanism than PRP or PRF, it’s often used alongside them as part of a combined treatment plan targeting both protection and repair.
