Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) Treatments

Autologous Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) Cell Therapy

At Rejuvenate Orthopedic & Regenerative Medicine, we specialize in advanced autologous regenerative therapies. Our primary treatment is Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) cell therapy, a powerful, natural approach that concentrates the regenerative cells found in your own bone marrow and delivers them precisely where your body needs help most.

Unlike traditional treatments that only mask symptoms, our therapies aim to support true tissue repair and long-term improvement in function.

What is BMC Cell Therapy?

Bone marrow concentrate therapy uses undifferentiated regenerative cells harvested from your own bone marrow. These cells have the ability to support the repair of damaged cartilage, tendons, ligaments, bone, and other soft tissues. Because the cells come from your own body, there is no risk of rejection.

How the Treatment Works

The entire process is completed in a single office visit and typically takes about one hour:

  1. Harvest. Under local anesthesia, a small amount of bone marrow is comfortably aspirated from the back of the hip (iliac crest). Most patients report only mild pressure during this step.
  2. Concentration. The sample is processed using advanced point-of-care technology that isolates and concentrates the regenerative cells, growth factors, and other healing components.
  3. Precise Delivery. The concentrated cells are carefully injected into the injured or degenerated area using ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance for accuracy.

Key Benefits

  • Minimally invasive alternative to joint replacement or other major surgery
  • Uses only your own cells (autologous)
    Performed entirely in-office
  • Minimal downtime compared to surgical recovery
  • Targets the underlying problem rather than just reducing symptoms

What Makes Our Approach Different

Not all regenerative treatments are the same. At Rejuvenate, we focus on quality and precision:

  • Highest cell yield – Our processing system is designed to maximize the number of viable regenerative cells
  • Image-guided injections – Ultrasound and fluoroscopy help ensure accurate placement.
  • Experienced provider – Treatments are performed by David A. Harris, PA-C, who has specialized training in regenerative techniques and has taught iliac crest aspiration methods to other clinicians.
  • Ethical standards – We exclusively use adult autologous cells. We never use embryonic cells.

Supportive & Complementary Care

In addition to BMC therapy, we provide comprehensive orthopedic support to optimize your results:

  • Thorough evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • On-site diagnostic imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy)
  • Guidance on activity modification and recovery protocols
  • Referrals for physical therapy or surgical consultation when appropriate
  • Personalized follow-up to monitor progress

What to Expect: Before, During & After Treatment

Before Treatment

You will meet with David Harris, PA-C for a detailed consultation. We will review your medical history, examine the affected area, and review any imaging. Together we will determine if BMC therapy is the right option for you.

During Treatment

The procedure is performed in a comfortable office setting. Local anesthesia is used for the harvest and injection sites. Most patients tolerate the process very well.

After Treatment

Recovery is generally quick. Most people return to normal daily activities within 1–2 days. You may experience mild soreness at the harvest or injection site for a short period. We provide clear post-procedure instructions and activity guidelines tailored to your specific treatment.

Results develop gradually as the regenerative process takes place. Many patients notice improvement over several weeks to months.

Is BMC Therapy Right for You?

BMC cell therapy is commonly used for patients dealing with:

  • Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, or shoulder
  • Tendon and ligament injuries
  • Chronic joint pain
  • Soft tissue injuries that have not responded well to conservative care

The best way to know if you are a good candidate is through a personal consultation.
